The Courtyard

A yoga retreat like no other

The heart of the retreat is undoubtedly the courtyard. The courtyard lends itself perfectly to a retreat. It is secluded and you really do feel detached from the outside world which is what we all need sometimes, escapism.  There are 4 beautifully restored courtyard houses all named after their original usage, The Dairymaid’s House where the dairy was and the dairymaid lived, The Grooms House, where the grooms boys lived above the Carriage house which is now the yoga room, The Saddler’s, where they stored the tack and the saddler lived and Tindal’s cottage is where Mr Tindal lived, he was the farm manager. The steward lived in the main house which is called the Stewards house. The model victorian farm was the farm attached to Coolattin House, a magnificent estate which is now Coolattin Golf Club, our neighbour. You can read more about the history of the property in the about us section. Please note this is a private family run retreat, we do not hire The Courtyard to visiting yoga groups.

I want to thank you for such a most wonderful time at your retreat and beautiful house. I do so appreciate the wonderful care that you showed me and my friend Maria. I will never forget you and the wonderful experience that I had with you all. I hope to come back soon again!!Emelie, from Sweden! 24 Sept, 2017
